This is a very interesting one. They pack Safety Coaches with the maximum possible options and perform various tests to see and show how it behaves. Never knew they sell those further to the operators.
This must be the most safe Tourismo in at least few surrounding countries.
Interesting, do the carrier realise what they own?

We were in Portsmouth over the weekend, and they’ve built a new bus road along Cascades Shopping and the NCP multi-storey, and all the buses heading to the city centre use it. Of course, I didn’t know about it beforehand and didn’t have a camera with me. Will make another trip later this month if I survive the dead standstill on the Chichester bypass on the way there

No classification change and as far as it is know, no planned changes until Series 600 launch. Still unsure what to do with abnormally overgrown Mercedes and MAN generations.

If model and classification is the same just as well leave as is?

Setra received facelifts, you can see the difference here. New grille and new side logo, but model or classification did not change officially. Should we keep them as is?

Clearcoat noticeably faded in the last 11 years. But nice it is still alive and running

The only 'ST' numbered NBFL, it is actually shorter than the standard 'LT' ones :-)

We are still far from full Yutong invasion, because of their product range and our standstill motorways (the only large electric Yutong is on test with NatEx YD24 EUB and can only run twice Stratford - Stansted before the long charge) But for 100-150 miles these diesels are perfect.
While every second factory was complaining about post Covid, the Chinese went ahead and created a product that might not look appealing, it’s not super comfortable, but it can handle point A to point B routes in a loop. I checked VOSA recently for one of them. 73 plate made more miles than standard NateEx Caetano

Route No. 7, with 3 or 4, was for normal buses, the rest were of small capacity...

I'm afraid it will be in place of Universals.

That's all for now. Jūrmala is buying 14 Isuzu and 2 Solaris from B-buss and will return the rented Tukuma auto to serve Jūrmala. They plan to buy 10 new ones sometime in the fall.

It’s interesting to see what will happen to these. Transrevis, (daughter of b-bus and sister of Jurmalas a.s.) has now lost its place in the city.
 
According to the latest tender, “TUKUMA AUTO” won the new public transport contract with 100 out of 100 points. They beat both Transrevis and Liepājas Autobusu Parks.
 
And as this is common in Latvia recently - won, but don't have enough buses available to cover all the new routes. As the result, these are standing, old Riga city buses are filling the gaps and Tukuma auto not seen 6 days since the contract start deadline

Whippet is out of Flixbus as of now, complaining about low commissions from them. First Bus is taking over, has already started operations, and is introducing 21 new Yutong buses.
 
It looks like they’ll be using First Bus’s existing city presence to subsidise the Flixbus routes.
We’ll see how it plays out.

Looks like the closest to the South this summer might be Reading Buses Open Day, on Sunday 29 June at Great Knollys Street depot. Might try to pop in there.

Shame, not such a big event but the 'Buses to the Bill' won't be happening this year either. Talking to the organiser entries also are down but it's mostly due to high costs to attend with a tank full of diesel costing from at least £300 and more without maintenance costs on top :-(

Due to insufficient participant engagement resulting in budget drop, the 2025 Worthing Bus Rally scheduled for July 29 has been cancelled. Organisers aim to return with a revitalised event in 2026.

It is now confirmed that this Setra was initially with the National Holidays fleet from 2010 until around early-2012, when it was written off due to an accident.
 
Bernard Kavanagh acquired the bus in March/April 2012, restored it over the summer of 2012, and later registered it in Ireland.
 
National Hols received 15 Setras in April 2010. NH10 BSH; NH10 DSH and so on, in a row up to NH10 SSH.
Maybe the PSV Circle archives from 2010–2012 include records of the National Holidays crash and write-off, so we could identify initial Reg. plate and full VIN.

Really interesting, how Kavanagh, running Setras for at least 20 years, ended up buying this in 2019.
