Here's how to participate and showcase your best photos.
Who Can Join?
Any user with:
- At least 5 approved gallery photos
- No voting restrictions
- Little to no provisional photos amount
How to Enter
Click "Nice, to the Contest!" button on any photo page (including your own). These photos later land in the selection pool.
The Selection Process
- Community Voting:
- Photos go to our Candidate Queue
- Users vote +1 (like) or -1 (dislike)
- Note: We monitor voting patterns to ensure fairness. Votes on photo, not the author or his photo equipment.
- Qualification:
- Top 5 to 15 daily voted candidate photos join the daily contests
- Photos with rating minus 6 are removed
- Two week old candidate photos with few votes are withdrawn
Voting in Contests
When contests go live (see active ones here):
- Pick 3 favorites (can't vote for your own)
- Choose your favourites and vote for:
- 1st place: 3 pts
- 2nd place: 2 pts
- 3rd place: 1 pt
- You can change votes anytime before the contest ends
Prizes & Recognition
Winners receive permanent photo badges and rating boosts:
- 1st place: Special medal + 10 rating points
- 2nd place: Medal + 7 rating points
- 3rd place: Medal + 3 rating points
All winners are archived in our Contest Hall of Fame.
